The Client Brief

Our clients wanted a custom kitchen, laundry and study that would complement their period home. The brief included a hamptons look, modern functionality and open plan living. 

The Challenge

Ensuring that each renovated room worked together to form a cohesive 'hamptons' look whilst still retaining all the efficiency of a modern kitchen, laundry and study area. Forming part of a larger home renovation project it was also critical that Balnei & Colina delivered the project within tight timeframes and to the highest standard throughout. 

The Design Solution

Shaker style doors were key in helping to create a hamptons feel, and design elements were duplicated in each room for a unified home look and feel. Colours and timber accents were also introduced to inject personality and warmth to the kitchen space. Increasing the kitchen footprint created more room for movement and flow of traffic.

The Result

A hamptons style kitchen and laundry in keeping with this beautiful character filled home. The inclusion of a central island bench with sink, allows for multiple family members to work within the kitchen at the same time with ample room to move. The new open plan kitchen layout ensures our clients can easily see and interact with family members in adjacent living and dining areas.
