The Client Brief

Our client had always dreamt of an entertainer's kitchen. Somewhere she could comfortably navigate and work in. Her current kitchen space was small and cramped and dark. She wanted a contemporary style for her new kitchen with simple smooth lines. 

The Challenge

The kitchen room lacked the size to create an entertainer's kitchen so we needed to devise a workable solution that created the space we needed to design our client's ideal kitchen.

The Design Solution

We decided the best solution was to create more room by removing a 4.5m wall that would, in the new kitchen layout, house appliances and provide much-needed floor-to-ceiling kitchen storage. Removing the wall also allowed us to create an open-plan kitchen design featuring a large central island bench. The floating bench makes it easy to move in and out of the kitchen with two entry and exit points.  

Handless doors supported the modern theme and natural light bouncing off the new mirror splashback helped further lighten the space. A LED light centerpiece was hung centrally over the island to illuminate the work/dining space perfectly complementing the sleek and contemporary kitchen look. 

The Result

A modern entertainer's kitchen out client enjoys working in every day. The small cramped space that lacked functionality is now in the past and replaced with a large contemporary kitchen fit for a chef.
