The Client Brief

Our clients had recently purchased period home in the Sydney suburb of Gladesville. The home was in original condition and needed renovating. Mathew and his family wanted renovated kitchen and bathrooms to complement the style of the existing home. They wanted a kitchen renovation that was both elegant, timeless and that honoured some of the traditional elements of the home. 

The Challenge

The team at Balnei & Colina needed to ensure the kitchen and bathroom designs and resulting renovations made the most of the space. The existing kitchen layout was not functional and the current kitchen made the room look small and cramped.

The Design Solution

The kitchen layout was changed so that the cooking zone, comprising of a beautiful Ilve oven and Carrara splashback became a key focal point.  A wall opening allowed for the addition of a breakfast bench that served as both a workspace and casual dining area. Bespoke cabinetry references the homes period style yet still feels contemporary.

The Result

A glamorous and elegant kitchen renovation featuring bespoke shaker style doors. Blending a modern style whilst still respecting the original character of the home. Quality construction and a more functional layout has meant that this family can enjoy their living space for many years to come.
