The Client Brief

We were so grateful to be able to collaborate with our lovely Ashfield client on this project. Our client wanted a new kitchen with a classic simple look and a more contemporary layout. She needed more storage and wanted to include a laundry space as part of the project. 

The Challenge

The challenge was creating a new contemporary kitchen design that incorporated a functional laundry space that did not impede the new kitchen layout.

The Design Solution

We decided to use the large hallway adjacent to the kitchen to accommodate the laundry. In addition, we took the concept further by adding a mixture of open and closed cabinetry on that wall for additional storage our client wanted as part of the brief. This new kitchen layout ensured that the kitchen and laundry had their own dedicated spaces, where both the kitchen and laundry could be used simultaneously. With the new layout, our clients were free to do laundry and cook at the same time without being hindered. The joinery was designed to perfectly complement the kitchen, allowing a seamless look throughout. The fully functional European laundry was hidden behind custom bi-folds enabling the space to be easily closed off and out of sight when not in use. 

The Result

A gorgeous new open-plan kitchen with fully functional hidden laundry and loads of extra storage. Custom B&C Shaker Doors and gold accents add a layer of interest and a touch of warmth to this all-white kitchen. Our client now has a kitchen she enjoys working and entertaining in.
